Khadija Tejan is a native of Jefferson City, Missouri and a May 2010 graduate of the University of Missouri, having earned a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in History. She also completed a Master’s of Educational Policy, Organization and Leadership, with a concentration in Higher Education, in December 2013 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Khadija served two years as a college adviser with Missouri College Advising Corps (MCAC) at Riverview Gardens High School in North St. Louis County from 2010 to 2012. Upon completing her service with MCAC, Khadija joined the Illinois College Advising Corps as a college retention coach and was later promoted to program and retention coordinator. Khadija began serving as the East Regional Director for MCAC in the summer of 2015 and is responsible for the support and supervision of 17 college advisers serving in high schools in St. Louis City and County and Cape Girardeau, New Madrid, and Sikeston.
