Kyle Flinn is the director of enterprise program management for extension at the University of Missouri. He joined MU Extension in April 2016 to lead the Nexus@Mizzou program. Nexus is an easy-to-use, customer-focused web experience that quickly connects people with information, learning opportunities, educational products and services. The technology platforms being used in the Nexus@Mizzou suite are Magento, Hawksearch, Dotmailer, Canvas and Cvent.
Before joining MU Extension, Flinn worked for Sprint Corporation for 20 years, where he led a number of complex technology upgrade programs. Beginning his career in Sprint’s Local Telecom Division (LTD), he managed technologies used by national network operations centers to provide trouble management and resolution of service outages. He served as a subject matter expert in network fraud detection, caller ID, service assurance, network inventory management, trouble ticketing and remote network testing solutions for the enterprise.
As part of the merger of Sprint and Nextel in 2007, Sprint spun off the LTD and Flinn accepted a position with the wireless division of the merged company. He held a series of positions in the new company, finishing his Sprint career as a technologist and staff manager in the Office of the Chief Executive Officer.
Flinn holds an Associate of Science in electronic communications from the University of Hawaii, a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian languages and cultures from the University of Kansas, and a Master of Business Administration from Baker University.
