MEXICO, Mo. – University of Missouri Extension agriculture business specialists will offer a program on Missouri farm leases in September. Participants may attend Sept. 12 or Sept. 13 in person at sites throughout the state or through Zoom.

There will be numerous timely topics of interest to Missouri landowners, said MU Extension ag business specialist Mary Sobba. These include current cash rent in Missouri and trends, specific items to agree on in a lease, fair livestock and crop share arrangements, and when and how to terminate farm leases.

Sessions are held at multiple sites.

The Sept. 12 sessions are 6-8:30 p.m.:

  • Boone County, MU Extension center, 1012 N. Highway UU, Columbia.
  • St. Francois County, Farmington Public Library, 101 N. A St., Farmington.
  • Iron County, MU Extension center, 123 W. Wayne St., Ironton.
  • Schuyler County, MU Extension center, courthouse, 110 W. Washington St., Lancaster.
  • Taney County, Youngman Ag Building, Room 118, 100 Opportunity Way, Point Lookout.

Sept. 13 sessions are 1-3:30 p.m.:

  • Clark County, courthouse basement, 111 E. Court St., Kahoka.
  • Osage County, Legends Bank, 200 E. Main St., Linn.
  • Buchanan County, MU Extension center, 4125 Mitchell Ave., St. Joseph.
  • Warren County, MU Extension center, 107 W. Walton, Warrenton.
