Through the lock forcible entry is one of the most overlooked and under-utilized forcible entry techniques.  This technique is often thought to be too slow or too complex for many fireground applications.  That is simply not true. This class is designed to teach the student a less destructive way of making entry into an occupancy when the classic and more destructive way of gaining entry is not needed. We go through the history of early tools all the way to the most modern and all the techniques associated with each to gain entry. The student should be able to identify all of the most common style of locks used and be able to bypass them by the end of the class. (DFS CEUs: Technical Rescue 4 hours)
