The Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Disease class is a six week, highly interactive group program to help people gain self-confidence in their ability to control their symptoms and learn how their health problems affect their lives. Topics include dealing with feelings of fear and isolation, appropriate exercise, medication use, nutrition, managing depression, how to evaluate new treatments, and communicating with family, friends and health team. Living a Healthy Life is an evidenced based program developed at Stanford University and now managed by the Self Management Resource Center. 

This program is being offered free of charge thanks to funding from the local Missouri Area Agency on Aging/MARC
