Central Missouri Master Gardeners
The Central Missouri Master Gardeners (CMMG) have been in Cole County since the early 90's and they are a very active group. Annually, around 175 CMMG donate approximately 15,000 volunteer hours to approved projects. Some of the approved projects include Cole County Extension Center grounds, the Master Gardener Greenhouses, Habitat for Humanity, Missouri River Regional Library, McKay Park sign area, Rape and Abuse Crisis Center and others.
Every Fall, the Master Gardener Program is offered to interested gardeners, aged 16 and older. To find out more (dates and the fee for the program), contact this extension center by phone at 573-634-2824 or email and check out the CMMG Facebook Group.
The public is invited to attend the monthly meetings. Dates, time and location are subject to change, but currently the meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Cedar City Classroom in North Jefferson City. CMMG does not meet in December. The January meeting is an annual dinner – reservations and payment must be made in advance. Contact the Extension Center for more information.
