Quality for Keeps: Home Food Preservation focuses on safe and correct food preservation methods in the home setting. This "Freezing and Dehydrating" workshop will:
- Review steps used to prepare produce for freezing,
- Help consumers understand processing techniques used in making home-frozen products of highest quality,
- Prepare a vegetable for freezing using approved techniques,
- Help consumers understand equipment required and processing techniques for safely dehydrating produce and meats, and
- Review resources for the home preservation of frozen and dehydrated products.
