Service-learning

"My hands to larger service...for my club, my community, my country, and my world."

4-Hers are eager show kindness and generosity to others and make a difference in their communities, and their world!

In service-learning, youth team up with adults to identify a need or opportunity, set learning goals, plan a project, and do meaningful service. Reflecting on their service, 4-Hers see how service has changed their lives, improved the lives of others, and impacted their communities and world.

In the process, youth gain skills and experience for college and career readiness. Adults learn how much youth are capable of doing. Communities grow stronger as youth and adults develop leadership, meet local needs, and bridge the generations.

By the numbers, Missouri 4-Hers make a tremendous difference in their communities through service.
