4-H Sportfishing State Event

Virtual event: Friday, June 19 — Sunday, June 21, 2020

Little Dixie Lake, site of the 2020 4-H Sportfishing State Event

After much consideration and out of an abundance of caution, it has been decided that we will not meet in person for the 2020 4-H State Sportfishing State Event. However, we will be hosting a modified version of the contest this June. Youth will have the opportunity to complete the contest Friday, June 19 through Sunday, June 21. This modified version will be administered online through Qualtrics' links. When they are ready, these links will be published to this webpage for participants to access. We will also have an option for those with limited access to technology and internet to still participate in this event.

This year's event will include:

  • Fishing Derby
  • Skill-a-Thon
    • Fish Identification
    • Parts of a Fish
    • Tackle Identification
    • Aquatic Ecology

We will be providing more details to participants at a later date. Registration is temporarily closed while we make updates for this new contest format, but will reopen May 1 and close on June 1. There will be no registration fee for this year's event.

If you have questions, please contact Maria Calvert.
