Showcase fresh, local food at your community event by reserving MU Extension’s Eat Smart on the go demo truck.

Truman the Tiger by MU's Eat Smart on the go truck

Unveiled in 2016, the demo truck allows qualified MU staff members to promote healthy food choices and provide cooking education throughout Missouri. Truck demos feature recipes from the Seasonal and Simple cookbook and app, which help users select, store and prepare fresh fruits and vegetables. Event participants are able to interact with instructors during the demos and learn new ways to incorporate healthy ingredients into their meals.

An Eat Smart on the go demo must be part of a larger event, such as a farmers market or a health, county or state fair. Contact us to add a fresh food demo and food tasting to your event.
