His program is focused on adding value to the Missouri economy by working with farmers and agricultural stakeholders to improve business practices, mitigate risks, evaluate new technologies and investigate entrepreneurial opportunities to enhance profitability and sustainability in agriculture. He works with many clientele groups (producers, lenders, commodity associations, government agencies and agribusinesses) in his extension program. Ryan has conducted feasibility studies, authored guide sheets, developed educational curriculum, built enterprise budgets and provided technical assistance to the Missouri crop, livestock and agricultural processing industries.
Ryan is an extension specialist in Agricultural Economics with University of Missouri Extension and has been with the university since 2002. Ryan received two Bachelor of Science degrees; one in Agricultural Economics and another in Business Administration from the University of Missouri. He completed a Masters in Business Administration degree from Columbia College. He has co-taught an Argentina study abroad class at the University of Missouri and has participated on several USDA international training opportunities over the years.
