Payton Covert is from Lawrence, Kansas and received her B.S. in Business Administration and an emphasis in management from the University of Missouri. During college, Covert served as the Executive Director for Carring for Columbia, the largest student-run day of service. At MU she also served as an AVID tutor and worked for the Division of Information Technology and the Center for Leadership and Service. After graduating college, she served for two years as a college adviser at Fort Osage High School in Independence, Missouri. Covert joined MCAC central operations in Columbia as a program coordinator in July of 2018 where she works as the program coordinator. She is currently working on her Master of Public Affairs through Truman School of Public Affairs at Mizzou.
