Matt Cavanah is a senior business operations associate with University of Missouri Extension. He joined MU Extension in November 2017 as part of the Web Services team. The Extension website is an easy-to-use, customer-focused web experience that quickly connects people with information, learning opportunities, educational products and services. The technology platforms being used in the site suite are Magento, Hawksearch, Dotmailer, Canvas and Cvent.
After graduating from the MU School of Journalism in 2009, Matt joined the Columbia Daily Tribune as an image technician. Always quick to take on more responsibility, Matt worked his way through positions until he was appointed as the paper's web editor in 2012. During his time as an editor, Matt advocated for more production of multimedia content and led the push to create that content. Working in collaboration with other members of the newsroom, Matt produced podcasts, video livestreams and original video features such as the Hometown Sound series, a local music feature akin to NRP's Tiny Desk Concerts, and the Tribune Daily Digest, a daily roundup of local news."
