Jerron M. Johnson (pronounced “Jer-rawn”) joined MCAC as the Program Director in August of 2017. Johnson is a native of St. Louis, Missouri and has been active in National Service for the last thirteen years. He most recently served as the Chief Field Program Officer for the Missouri Community Service Commission (Missouri Department of Economic Development), providing leadership for program and grants oversight/monitoring functions. His experience includes administering public and private grants for a local non-profit organization in St. Louis, Missouri and managing an AmeriCorps program that placed 40 full-time AmeriCorps Members in elementary school sites through St. Louis Public Schools.
Johnson is a graduate of Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and is currently completing his Master of Public Affairs with an emphasis in Organizational Consulting and Change from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Additionally, he is an AmeriCorps Alum (2004-2006), member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, Inc., a pianist, and advocate for national and community service.
