National planting progress data as of June 23, 2019

Farmers in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio were able to make significant progress with corn planting this past week, allowing the U.S. average to move from 92% to 96% complete. U.S. average soybean plantings also jumped 8 percentage points, reaching 85% complete. Cotton reached 96% complete nationally, limited by progress in Missouri and Oklahoma. With excessive rainfall in Missouri, U.S. rice planting completion has not reached 100%.
