MU Extension offers free event on weeds, nutrients and more

MOBERLY, Mo. – University of Missouri Extension specialists headline the 2018 Randolph County Soils and Crop Conference.
The free event is set for 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Lion’s Den in Cairo, Mo., says MU Extension agronomist Dhruba Dhakal.
MU Extension state weed specialist Kevin Bradley talks on weed management in row crops. Natural resource engineering specialist Kent Shannon gives an update on drone technology,
U.S. Department of Agriculture acting area resource conservationist David Doctorian gives tips on crop and soil management for improved soil health. State nutrient management specialist Peter Scharf offers information on nutrient management in row crops.
Register for the event by calling the MU Extension Center in Randolph County at 660-269-9656 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org by Jan. 22. The event is free, but lunch registrations are required.
Randolph County Soil and Water Conservation District, Randolph County Farm Bureau and Orscheln Farm & Home in Moberly sponsor the event.
