MU Extension offers free Chariton County event on weeds, economy and more

SALISBURY, Mo. – Top University of Missouri Extension specialists headline the 2019 Chariton County Soils and Crop Conference.

The free event is 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Salisbury, says Dhruba Dhakal, MU Extension field specialist in agronomy.

MU Extension state weed specialist Kevin Bradley talks on weed management in row crops and pasturelands.

State extension beef specialist Eric Bailey gives an overview of how the 2018 drought affected forage supplies for cattle. He gives the pros and cons of hay as a supplemental feed.

MU economist Scott Brown gives the 2019 Missouri agriculture outlook. MU Extension plant pathologist Kaitlyn Bissonnette shares ways to improve crop disease management Missouri.
