Naomi Crouch 4-H Volunteer Leadership Award
The Missouri 4-H Foundation established the Naomi Crouch 4-H Volunteer Leadership Award in 1990 to recognize exceptional volunteers and organizations that have made notable contributions to 4-H youth. The award is named in honor of Naomi Mohler Crouch, in remembrance of her dedication to the youth of Missouri. Mrs. Crouch served as a Missouri 4-H Foundation Trustee and Chair, and was a Clay County 4-H parent and volunteer.
Annually, two (2) individual volunteers and one (1) organization will be selected to receive the award by the Missouri 4-H Foundation. Nominees must meet the following criteria:
- Have a minimum of five (5) years of volunteer service to Missouri 4-H.
- Demonstrate a significant impact on the county-wide Missouri 4-H program.
- Counties are limited to one (1) nomination (single person or organization) per year, regardless of the number of volunteers in that county.
- Current MU Extension 4-H faculty and staff members are eligible for this award as long as they are being nominated for years of volunteer service.
An application form is available to nominate candidates for the Naomi Crouch 4-H Volunteer Leadership Award. Nominations are due by June 30 and will be accepted from county 4-H councils and their designated representatives, 4-H staff and 4-H clubs.
Award recipients will be recognized at the Missouri 4-H Foundation recognition banquet, held annually in the fall.
