Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention allows you to express both mind and body, helping you to not only learn a new skill and promote good health, it will help you achieve harmony with yourself and the world around you. Come move with us! This class will take place on Zoom from the comfort of your chosen location. Tai Chi for Arthritis for Fall Prevention is an exercise program recommended by the CDC for fall prevention and for people with arthritis. The program meets twice a week for eight weeks.

Practicing Tai Chi can help:
• improve health of the body and mind through movement and mindfulness
• reduce pain associated with disease and arthritis
• improve mobility and prevent falls

Tai Chi for Arthritis for Fall Prevention is ideal for adults with or without arthritis, rheumatic diseases or related muskuloskeletal conditions. Tai Chi is appropriate for people with mild, moderate and severe joint and back pain, and for adults without arthritis who have a higher risk of falling.

Technology Needs for Participants:
• Telephone for emergencies
Computer or tablet with video/web camera capabilities
• Email address
• Zoom application
o A zoom guide has been created for downloading and utilizing this application (app).

o It is helpful if participants are subscribed to Dr. Lams online video lesson course or have access to the DVD to support their practice between lessons with you as the instructor. The DVD can be found here: Keep the group small enough so that you can communicate comfortably and monitor participants movements. Please have one instructor and one technical assistance person in attendance on the meeting.
