Dates for the courses are: Oct 29, 30 and Nov. 3,4

This series of course work is designed to enhance your supervisory skills. Careful consideration has been given to the design of this series to ensure participants will be engaged in their learning and fully participate through skills practice, mini-assignments, and interactive group exercises.

Day 1 (Oct. 29): Building Effective Relationships (9 am to 4 pm)
Building effective relationships with the team members you supervise is one of the best strategies to ensure team performance and prevent future conflicts. By focusing on relationships, you gain trust and respect. This full-day session will examine personality differences, generational differences, and how to proactively build trust. *MTI highly recommends utilizing the EQ-i 2.0 assessment for even more relevant and meaningful understanding.

Day 2 (Oct. 30): Communicating Successfully (9am to 4 pm)
In today's fast-paced business environment, successful communication requires more than just speaking your mind loudly enough for others to hear you. This session will sharpen both your written and verbal communication skills to maximize understanding and minimize confusion amount those you communicate with.

Day 3 (Nov. 3): Your Legal Responsibilities (9 am to Noon)
Supervisors are often placed in a diffcult position. On one hand, they are charged with motivating and directing the workforce. On the other, they must protect the organization from liability. This session will explore the legal responsibilities of the supervisory role by examining best practice solutions to discrimination, sexual harassment and the progressive discipline process.

Day 3 (Nov. 3): Managing Conflict (1 pm to 4 pm)
In the workplace, even healthy differences can escalate into conflict. Addressing conflict quickly can effectively is a crucial supervisory skill. This session enables participants to recoqnize the signs that conflict exists, assess each conflict situation and serve as a catalyst to encourage those involved to achieve resolution.

Day 4 (Nov. 4): Coaching Employees (9 am to 4 pm)
This final day of training will bring it all together. Working from all the concepts learned in the first three days, this workshop will explore your coaching role. Learn what great coaches do to motivate, delegate, diagnose performance problems, provide appropriate feedback, and facilitate the problem-solving process for their employees.

Refund policy: Full refund if cancelled within 2 weeks of start date, after that a $75 processing fee will be retained. If cancellation takes place after start date, a $75 processing fee will be retained.
