Investigations of Sexual Assault and Child Abuse
Sexual assault and child abuse can happen at any time. Research shows that an incident of child abuse is reported every 10 seconds, on average (NYU Child Study Center). It can be overwhelming and devastating for victims and their families. More training and community prevention tips can be a great asset for investigators.
This course will cover a variety of information ranging from Missouri Statutory language covering child abuse and sexual assaults to investigative tips and prevention strategies. Not only does this course provide information for those officers investigating these types of criminal offenses, but it also provides the officer with information that they can relay to their communities as current prevention strategies.
Each time this seminar is offered, details such as dates, times, location, registration fees, continuing education units (CEUs) offered and relevant instructor information will be provided by the Law Enforcement Training Institute.
