Events are open to 4-H and FFA members showing livestock, unless otherwise noted. Open fair means it is open to any 4-H or FFA member, who is a member in good standing in the State of Missouri. Closed Fair means it is open to only that County's 4-H & FFA members. See links below for additional information. This page will be updated when information becomes available.

4-H livestock project members

You must have the certification of the Missouri Show Me Quality Assurance (MSMQA) if you plan on showing at most fairs in the state of Missouri, as well as the Missouri State Fair. You can do it online at http://www.agebb.missouri.edu/smqa/, or check with your local MU Extension office to see if they are offering an Missouri Show Me Quality Assurance program for your county.

Livestock exhibitors

Missouri Department of Agriculture are requiring Current Health Papers on Sheep & Goats shown at all the Livestock Shows. Be prepared to have your Current Health Papers checked at the Livestock Shows, by Missouri Department of Agriculture personal. Out of State exhibitors are also required to have current health papers.

    May 2 & 3, 2020, MYSPC Kickoff Classic, (formerly the Neveda Swine Show Trifecta), Three MYSPC Sanctioned Shows, Centennial Park Fairgrounds, 1641 E Ashland, Nevada, MO.  Saturday, May 2, 2 Shows:  Registration/Weigh-in: 7 -8:30 am;  Ring "A" begins at 10 am. Entry Fee $20 per head.  Sunday, May 3, 2020: Registration/weigh-in: 7:30-8:30 am.  Show begins at 9:30 am.  Pre-Entry Fee (Pay on Saturday evening) $20 per head.  Day of Show $25 per head.  Junior Exhibitors ages 21 and under are eligible to show.     May 16, 2020, Show Me Extravaganza, Missouri State Fair Swine Pavilion. Sedalia, MO. 2 Shows. Must be in place by 7 am Saturday. Barn open Friday evening for Weigh in. Weigh in starts at 3 pm Friday through 8 am Saturday.  Turn in weigh cards by 8 am. Ring A starts at 10 am/ Ring B starts at 11 am.     May 17, 2020, Spring Spectacular Jackpot Show, Missouri State Fair Swine Pavilion, Sedalia, MO. 2 Shows. Be in place by 7 am Sunday. Weigh Cards due by 8 am Sunday. Weigh-ins Saturday Night/Sunday Morning.  Showmanship starts at 10 am. Show to follow. Pre-register Saturday Night $20 entry fee. $25 day of Show Entry Fee.     May 23, 2020, Callaway County Jackpot Swine Show, Auxvasse Lions Club Park, Auxvasse, MO. Memorial Day Weekend. Hogs in place by 8 a.m. (Barn open Friday night) Animals must have health papers complying with MO State Fair regulations. Purebreds must have registration papers.     May 25, 2020, Sweet Springs FFA Jackpot Show, Saline County Fairgrounds, Hwy 65 Marshall, MO. Memorial Day Weekend. Weigh-in Schedule, 7-9 am.  Show Schedule, Gilts, then Market Hogs, 10 am.     May 30, 2020, 2020 Troy FFA Market Hog and Breeding Gilts Preview Jackpot Show, Lincoln County Fairgrounds, Troy, MO. Hog weigh-in 8 am-11 am, Swine Barn. Breeding Gilt Show will start at 12:30 pm, West Arena.  Barrow Show will start immediately following the conclusion of the Breeding Gilt Show. Campers & Trailers will be allowed into the fairgrounds from 3-10 pm on Friday May 29th and the fairground gates will be closed until 6 am Saturday, May 30th.  People interested in staying overnight can use the Walmart facilities next door to the fairgrounds.
