Abstract

Show Me Nutrition8 lessons

Students use the current USDA food graphic to plan meals and choose foods from all the food groups. They are encouraged to start the day with breakfast and learn to pay attention to body cues that help them know when they have eaten and exercised enough. Each lesson contains learning objectives, supplies needed and core activities. Additional activities are also included. Lessons have been cross-referenced with the Missouri Grade Level Expectations and National Health Standards. Handouts, posters and activity cards are included.

The curriculum is three-hole punched and comes with a cover and spine that can be slipped into a binder with clear front and side pockets.

Publications numbers for third grade newsletters are N140 (Lesson 1), N142 (Lesson 2), N143 (Lesson 3), N144 (Lesson 4), N145 (Lesson 5), N146 (Lesson 6), N147 (Lesson 7) and N141 (Lesson 8).
