How can a community learn what is on the minds of its residents? This publication is designed to help communities of all sizes organize a public opinion survey or questionnaire. It discusses different kinds of surveys and the purpose they serve and provides tips on tabulating, analyzing and using the results of the information gathered.

Several forms given in the publication suggest helpful formats and questions to use. Sample business letters and press releases also are included.
