Caring for Houseplants
The Aglaonema, or Chinese evergreen, can survive in fairly low light.
Serious spider mite damage on Brassia, or Schefflera. Wash leaves with soapy water to begin control.
Scales are shown on the runner of this spider, or airplane, plant. When possible, cut off badly infected areas.
The mealy bug, shown here on Fatsia, covers itself with a white, cottony appearing wax that protects it from predators and pesticides. Rubbing alcohol will dissolve the wax and kill the pests.
